Dur-e-Najaf… Hadid-Theen

It is obtained from Najaf al-Ashraf, Iraq. Those obtained from the river are more illustrious than those obtained from the land. Both Hazrat Imam Jaffer as-Sadiq and Imam Hassan al-Askari (9th grandson of the prophet Mohammed (PBUH)) have said that wearing of Dur-e-Najaf has great thawab.

It is good for ailments of the eye and it creates happiness in the heart. The 6th Imam stated on Dur-e-Najaf, that all the Momineen and Mominaat feel happy when they sight this stone, and the pain of their eyes is relived. A Gemstone full of spiritual and religious values and benefits. No need to worry for date of birth etc, any one can wear with full peace of mind.

It can also recall old forgotten memories and assist in solving problems. Dur-e-Najaf brings self-knowledge and wisdom to ourselves. It can also supply energy and stamina to the lagging physique.

Dur-e-Najaf gently attracts a balance of all seven colour rays to your body, emotions, and mind. In the process, it corrects any colour ray imbalances in your physical and subtle bodies. When you become more balanced on this fundamental level, all aspects of life improve.

It also

* Increase your energy bring more balance, grace, and harmony to your life
* Promote balance in the relationship among your body, mind, and emotions
* Foster balance within and among your body’s physical processes
* Balance your mind’s creative and analytical aspects as well as balances the seven colour rays and emotion.
* Regain your balance after a life-changing or traumatic experience
* More easily learn from past experiences so you can make better choices

I don’t know please do tell me when you find out… best way would be to go to a Marathi jeweler or gemologist who will know.

As it is a recommended stone by Prophets and Imams/Religious leaders of the time a Muslim Marathi Jeweller may also know the answer quicker… I will also look into this so both of us searching may result quicker.

the english name is moonstone, however, not any moonstone is durr e najaf (obviously)…it has to be from the land of najaf. The land of najaf is the burial place of imam ali and hazrat adam, two of the wisest humans to have ever lived….the stone is said to capture a small part of their wisdom and give it to the ring wearer.

i need to ask a question..
if u’re wearing to dur e najaf stones and one gets milky and the other gets scratched ..what does this mean?

    • artijoshi says:

      Salaamz to you…

Dur e najaf is a healing stone like Aqeeq (Carnelion) … although cloudy or scratched stone is not good to wear so just get another ring .

Dur-e-najaf ….Maybe too powerful for you try Aqeeq for 40 days and see/feel the results.

Let me know how you get on with the aqeeq it helps me to help others Jazakallah Khair.

i am wearing a silver bangle having 1 firoza and 3 yakoots and 3 akeeks and 2 Dur e Najaf

    • artijoshi says:

If Dur E Najaf has discoloured and cracked you need to replace the stones in the bangle.

I Am surprised that only dur e najaf has suffered these issues why not the others did you wash hand in some chemical soaps or maybe some reaction to surroundings … when you have found the reason you may find it maybe not good for you to wear so many stones in a bangle some Shia community wear these stones as a jewellery piece even in a ring all three stones but it doesn’t suit everyone… just because something is sunnat it does not mean everybody is the same.

Replace the stones and put the bangle wrapped in a green cloth away from your body in a safe place not near your bed and wait 40 days see if life changes for you if this happens then these stones are too powerful together wear the bangle on celebration/Khushiyali days but not as a permanent jewellery.

I hope I haven’t offended you in anyway by saying something you may not be happy to hear but this is how I ‘SEE’ it.

Insha Allah you will find the best possible way for your own life… and the stones you will attract into your life naturally not because eveyone else wears it.

For woman… I feel Akeek is good because it helps with Iron in the blood and most Asian women are anemic naturally try this alone can be in gold for woman so its ok then see how you feel.

I hope this information is good for you please feel free to let me know the results so I may be able to help others from this experience.

please someone tell me that from where i can get DUR E NAJAF pure???

  6. Syed Jaffar Ali says:

buddy i m wearing dur e najaf but it has little cloud in it. n i m from pakistan so from pakistan where i can get it do you hav any idea so please tel???

    • artijoshi says:

      Brother Ali

Dur e Najaf should have a sheen like a moonstone … If you have any Shia friends who go for ziarat to Iran you can ask them to bring back a stone for you … I do not know purity levels in Pakistan maybe Islamabad if you seek out a Shia jeweller who may have contact in Iran it maybe possible.

I keep saying Shia it is not necessary for Shia jeweller to have it but its like a specialist in diamond knows about diamonds a Shia jeweller can recognize a good Due e Najaf Brother each to their own trade.

      • artijoshi says:

Shia Ithnashri men in particular wear this stone as Hazrat Ali used to wear it they know where to get it from and bring back for others when they go to Iraq for ziarat.

  7. Hyder says:
